We’re happy to announce the Annual Election Night Hackathon at the RIT MAGIC Spell Studios from 6:00pm – 11:00pm on Tuesday, November 5th. This year is a special year as it marks our ninth anniversary of this tradition in the RIT FOSS community!

Here’s some background of what will be happening:
We’ve got the pizza, snacks, and news updates covered. You bring yourself, your friends, and a laptop to work on civic engagement projects related to the civic space. Work on your own projects or join us in a live documentation sprint to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Women’s Right to Vote. Help transcribe the Library of Congress’ handwritten documents to plain text so they can be more easily found and searched on the Internet.
